What first inspired you to begin wakesurfing?
I was at Boardstock /World Wakesurf Championships 2006 while I was at a Centurion photoshoot, and I watched the contest. I decided right then and there that although I didn't know how to wakesurf yet, I was going to win worlds in 2007.

When and how did you learn to wakesurf?
After Boardstock, I went back to Orlando and started riding every day.
Were you hooked immediately?
Yes!
How often do you get to ride?
Every day that I am not traveling or in school.
What other sports do you, or did you do?
I kite professionally and I used to wakeskate and snowboard competitively.
What sets you apart from other female wakesurfers?
wakesurfing girl Bri: I am constantly trying new tricks, no matter if I am riding regular or goofy. I am one of the smaller girls in the sport, so I guess that sets me apart from most. Other girls get stressed out or too serious when out riding, but I always ride better when I'm relaxed and smiling.
How did your Calibrated sponsorship come about?
I met Mike at Boardstock before I learned how to wakeskate. Somehow I convinced him that I was going to win worlds the next year, even though I didn't know how to wakesurf. He believed me and sent me a board to ride.
Which other riders influence you most and why?
wakesurfing girl Bri: Again hands down Drew Danielo. He walks on water.
Where is your favorite place to wakesurf?
Places with pretty backdrops. I like the Columbia River in Oregon when it is glassy…
Where would you like to travel to wakesurf?
I want to wakesurf behind a cruise ship with a monster wave.
Describe your ideal day on the water?
My boat, with three of my friends. Perfect wake, good music, and good energy.
Now tell me what in the world you would swap that for?
wakesurfing girl Bri: Not a lot.. but maybe one or two things… ;)

Who do you like to ride with?
I like to ride with all my friends and teammates out in Discovery Bay.
What do you do off the water to help you on the water?
Basically I ride.. alot... and I do yoga and run two miles every day.
What advice would you give to women wanting to start wakesurfing but think it's too hard?
How would they think it’s too hard when they haven’t tried?
What new tricks are you learning?
wakesurfing girl Bri: I’m working on big spins and switch front shuvs and big spins.
I love contests! It is great to go out and ride behind someone else's boat!
What do you like best about wakesurfing?
The feeling of riding fast across the slickest water possible.
Biggest challenges?
Being the best person that I can- it’s hard! Juggling sports with school.
Where do you see the sport heading?
The sport is going crazy at the moment with insane new shuv variations. Hopefully someone will land a kickflip this year.
Memorable moments? (sessions-good or bad, places, friends, conditions)
"Lake Days" on Lake Killarney.
Complaints? (general or industry related)
Even if you think you are the shit, don't act like it- just be you.
Who would you like to thank or give props to?
My parents. They have been there for me my whole life! Also my hot boyfriend Dustin.
