The kite season at the Sea of Galilee has started this month.
If you think about it, we get to kite at the same place Christ walked on water.
The season usually starts at the end of May and lasts until the end of August.
Its kind of an irony, but when the wind is blowing at the sea of Galilee - there is no wind on the cost of the Mediterranean.

the wind starts usually around 2 pm and lasts until sunset and it is around 20 knots and even more a lot of times.
Sea of Galilee kitesurfing spot is a beach were surfers and kite surfers congregate on the shore from all over the country to enjoy it.
It looks pretty docile but don’t let its looks deceive you - the sea of Galilee could be a dangerous place and certainly not for beginners.
I was lucky enough to get the season off to a great start last Thursday (26th May, 09)
The wind was right on time in full force and it blew constantly 20 knots.
I came to take pictures and caught behind the camera some of the finest young Israelis kite surfers, such as; Yotam Levi, Ohad Lampert, Adam, Oria Asa and Bar.
I enjoyed specially taking photos of the kiter Ofri Argov, who is just about twice age than the rest kiters that were out there that day, but you wouldn’t know it because of his amazing performance and energy with the kite and mother nature.
The photos during this article and also below, are some of the photos I took on that great Sea Of Galilee Kitesurfing session day.
I think that one of the reasons I can identify so much with kiteboarding, is because it is such a free sport and every photo I am taking, I can feel the freedom behind the camera.
