Location: Santa Marianita beach is located 18km south of the city of Manta, Ecuador.
Spot Name : Santa Marianita (or Playa Bonita)
Best Wind Season / Type Of Wind: May to December side onshore winds, very constant no gusts. Average 15-25 knots.
Water conditions: choppy, waves at south point of the beach when swells hit right. Water is cool during windy season but not cold. A neoprene top would do, no wetsuit needed.
Recommended Accommodations (Where to stay):Not many choices at the beach, better to stay in Manta.
Beach Conditions / Obstacles: Long 4Km beach, no obstacles.
Recommended Transport to the Spot: From Manta you can either take a taxi ($6) or take the "camionetas" ($1) or contact the school and they may be able to arrange a pickup at your hotel.
