PKRA meets IKA in January
December 23, 2008 – The Professional Kiteboard Riders Association (PKRA) and the International Kiteboarding Association (IKA) finally agreed to meet in January to iron out issues and matters which the PKRA raised with the ISAF-sanctioned body.
In a correspondence sent by IKA Executive Secretary Markus Schwendtner to PKRA Media Director Paul Caswell, the IKA agreed to meet in Berlin, Germany on the 23rd of January 2009 to discuss pertinent matters.
“With this positive development, we are hopeful that we can finally solve all the concerns that have risen and although we started in the wrong foot, the PKRA is confident that 2009 would be a great season for the whole sport of kiteboarding. We are looking forward to meeting with the IKA and Markus in January,” said PKRA Tour Manager Mauricio Toscano.
If the talks between the two parties go out well, kiteboarding fans are in for a tremendous treat and will have something to look forward to in 2009.
