Where are you from?
I was born in Guadeloupe (French West Indies). A beautiful Caribbean Island!

Your age?
21

Where did you grow up?
Until the age of 11 I was in Guadeloupe, then we moved with the family to Costa Rica where we stayed 3 years. And now it's been almost 7 years that I'm in Tarifa (Spain)... When I'm not traveling... ;)

Any kite sponsors? Who?
I've been riding with North Kiteboarding material almost since I started, let's say 6 years! I also use ION wetsuits and bags and KEA Spirit for clothing.

Special achievements...?
6th of the world PKRA 2007, twice French Champion (2004-2006), European champion junior 2004, vice world champion junior KPWT 2004...

Life occupation besides kite...
I'm not a formal worker nor a student yet, I use my time for training to avoid injuries and improve my level... I also work a bit together with North on the material testing (kites and boards).

Music?
All kind!! Depends of the moment, before or after kiting, if you're mad, sad, happy or excited... from classic to punk, hip hop, pop...

Anything which attract my attention. I like things concerning sport, body, nutrition... computer programs, people vision...

Photobucket

Try to be healthy... no McDonalds!!!

Places you have been kiting at...
Brazil, Venezuela, Tarifa Barcelona and Fuerte (Spain), Sicily and Sardinia (Italy), some places in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Latvia, different spot of France, Guadeloupe, Cuba and St Marteen (Caribbean), Mauritius, Portugal...

How long have you been kitesurfing?
Almost 7 years.

Why kitesurfing?
Because of the adrenaline that it provides to me combined with the feeling of freedom!!! I've always been doing water sports and I love them all. It's not that I like kitesurfing much more, because all of them (surf, windsurf...) brings you kind of the same feeling of speed, gliding, power, freedom... but kiting allow me to jump 15m high, surf a wave or use it as a kicker to do my tricks, I can also do them in flat water... it's pure joy!

Photobucket

What does your family think of this?
They've always pushed me to do what I like, I'll keep kiting until I can and enjoy this amazing opportunity to discover the world being an ambassador of my sponsors and country, and when time comes to study or work then I'll come back to real world... all good things have an end, so I better enjoy it!

What does this sport mean to you?
A lot!! When you get involved in a sport as a professional it becomes your life! You live it everyday even if you don't want. I wouldn't be able to just stop like that... impossible. But it's good to make a brake at the end of the year to get some energy back and use the time to relax before you come back on the game and train/travel everyday...

Favorite tricks?
Switch doubles, to make it harder...

What does this sport demand of you?
Loads of training in and out of the water, patience and perseverance before landing a new trick... motivation and you need to leave your brain at the beach sometimes...

Have you ever been in an accident?
Not really, I had injuries but not a bad accident. Thanks to mother nature. (God for some people).

Vision...you wishes for the future….
Don't know yet... be happy, keep doing sports with no injuries, evolve and enjoy.

saint martin water photos. Where is Le Galion? Le Galion is the next bay Southeast of buzzling Orient Bay on Saint Martin Island. This laid back beach is surrounded by a coral reef that serves as a protection, providing calm and shallow waters to Le Galion. Le Galion is also a popular hangout for surfing, kite-boarding, and windsurfing enthusiasts. In front of the former "Le Galion Hotel" surfing is perhaps best because of the trade winds coming along the Atlantic coast.Kiteboarding Articles 2008 caliber 2008
