TAMPA/LONDON/PERTH, April, 6th 2010: Since KB4girls launched in October 2009 it has created quite a wave. While countless girls from around the world have signed up for the free clinics, interest has also been shown by brands both inside and outside the kiteboarding industry. Priority in the negotiations has been focused on being able to deliver great events to the girls around the world and some landmark partnerships have been agreed on recently.

Adding much technical expertise to the KB4girls clinics and bringing the participating girls great benefit is the foundation of the partnership formed with the IKO. The worldwide authority on qualifying kite instructors and bringing new kiteboarders into the sport has partnered with KB4girls by supplying participating girls with IKO membership cards. These will enable them to not only join the IKO members online platform with a lot of useful information but also will allow them to use their IKO certification to enjoy the services of the countless IKO centers around the world. In addition an IKO safety and self rescue briefing will be part of the KB4girls event and prerequisite to attain membership.

Sandrine Roussos, CEO of the IKO: “IKO is very excited about being involved with KB4girls. Building such an important network of girl kiteboarders is an excellent development to the sport. Supporting female athletes, getting more girls into the sport and having great fun while also supporting the environment through the Surfrider Foundation, is something IKO strongly believes in. KB4girls is a great project for all the girls out there and we are delighted to be a partner.”

To be able to spread the word about the free KB4girls clinics even further among female athletes around the world further partnerships have been formed, the media information source Just Kite It being one of them. While Just Kite It will be KB4girls media partner for the USA, founder Jessica Valenzuela will be helping to organize the local North American events.

Jessica Valenzuela, founder of Justkiteit.com: ”We're thrilled to be a partner in Kristin Boese's KB4 Girls events! Sharing the kiteboarding experience gives me so much fulfillment, so when the opportunity came for us to co-host some of the events in the US and be an official partner, I jumped on the opportunity! We're proud to be part of Kristin's work in helping women raise their interest in adventure and outdoor sports, specifically kiteboarding!”

To raise the level of awareness and visibility of KB4girls to the general public KB4girls teamed up with the world wide online portal for female athletes Womensportreport who will be updating their female community about the girls only kiteboarding events around the world.

Gina Dessalines, Marketing Director and Co-Founder at Womensportreport.com says: ”Womensportreport is proud to be part of KB4girls by publishing the effort and hard work going into this fantastic project. We agree with the aims, motivations and goals behind the project 100% and will do our part by supporting Kristin and the girls gain the publicity that is needed to push this forward! Good Luck!!!”

Other media partners have joined the KB4girls family over the past few month as well and with the newly added online media partners kiteforum.com and boost-kiteboarding.com as well as the magazines Kiteworld that is sold worldwide and Kite Surfmagazine from Holland even more girls on the kitebeaches around the world will get a chance to join the free clinic and improve their riding.

“To get such great feedback and to be able to form partnerships like these is a great thing for KB4girls as it helps us to reach the girls that we are aiming our events at and gives us the possibility to organize great events for the female kiters around the world. It is also really motivating for me to see that there is so much demand for events like these and that not only by the girls that want to join in but also partners that want to join and help. I am very pleased about the partnerships we could form over the past weeks and also month and am now really looking forward to the next KB4girls event on Maui that starts this coming Friday, 9th of April.” says Kristin Boese, KB4girls founder
