Kitesurfing girl Grace Gonzalez
My age? I am 27 years old
Where am I from? From Puerto Rico, currently living in Miami, FL.
A bit about me: The first water sport I tried was Kayaking, training with the Olympic team.
After that I got involved with bodyboarding, but I knew kiteboarding was my thing.
Music really drives me not only to listen to it but also to try perform a little as well. I've been playing guitar for 15 years and trying to sing in the shower forever! :/
I want to become a better rider (duh) but also I'm very focused in my studies for Digital Film making and Video Production at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
My hero is my oldest brother Juan L. He has been super supportive with me since I was very young and crazier. I really love him and look at him as a second father. (love you bro :)
My favorite kitesurfing spot is Marco Island (Fl) is not only a nice place flat but also the waves of the Gulf, also there is a lot of nature and wildlife to admire.
I have been kiteboarding just a little bit more than a year.
Why?? because I got challenge by this x-boy that I could never learn ... hahaha
My parents don't dare to go see me kite, but my nephews are in love with it, they are like my fan club and my students.
What does kitesurfing mean to me? The sport means a lot physically and mentally this is my yoga my gym and my shrink. Also is my work since I started my own Kite repair business (Miami Kite Repair) and I started to work for Adventure Sports Miami.
Any accidents? I've been in any car accidents (never me as a driver thank God) and I can just recall one at Ocean Park in San Juan, Puerto Rico when a waste manage truck was passing through and caught my lines, the lines wrapped around my ankle and I got dragged like 50 yds.
Vision for future? Vision I had so many and the thins is that whatever makes me happy I'll embrace and thank God for it.
