Islamorada Invitational 2009 was a great time for the riders and also for the watching audience! There was an energetic environment, sunny day and great wind and the riders kicked ass!!!!

The spot at the Keys
While driving on the bridges from the north to the Islamorada spot, you couldn't miss the colorful kites flying all on the same area.
We arrived to Islamorada on Friday and stayed till Monday.
And that was fun!!!
The event took place on the large flats in front of Whale Harbor. Among the rest of the kiters and friends on the beach, we watched the race under sunny day and great weather. Riders raced all over the flats rounding inflatables, markers and boats. It was really great event! Girls competed, pro riders and amateur riders.
The distance race was 10 mile downwind sprint on the flat-water from Whale Harbor to Anne’s Beach.
